7/12 WARPED TOUR
warped tour was AMAZING. i woke up at 6am cause i was so excited. i went to clara's at nine and her mom drove us up to the stamford train station, and we took the amtrak to hartford. our train was 30 minutes late, so we were really worried that we were going to miss our connecting train in new haven, but luckily the train waited for us and we only got into hartford like 5 minutes later than we were meant to. then we took a cab to the venue and walked in with this guy from a band who was trying to sell us his cd. and it was really good and he was hot so julia bought it. then we saw 3OH!3. basically, it was the sweatiest i have ever been. i was not that far from the front, sort of towards the left. it was so packed and everyone was dripping and it felt like i was breathing in sweat, not air. but it was so awesome. then we browsed the merch tents, got a bunch of free condoms, some free candy from the planned parenthood tent, a rock for health button, ect. then we saw sing it loud. i had their ep and i had listened to them a bit, but i wasnt crazy about them. but then i saw their set and i fell in love. not kidding. pat brown, nate flynn, and i are going to join a polygamous cult and get married. they were so amazing. probably one of the most fun bands i've seen. nate basically just ran around the stage with his shirt off and flung his hair around.and pat gave this really cute "fuck haters" speech before they played no one can touch us. and that song just made me SO HAPPY. i strongly suggest anybody that goes to warped see them. then we went to the sing it loud tent, where i bought a tshirt and met pat brown and ben peterson. then, we walked around a bit and felt like we were going to die, so we went inside. two of the stages were on this one big stage inside the ampitheater, so we sat down for a bit and ate some pb&j. then, while waiting for a rocket to the moon, we saw streetlight manifesto, cause they were on the stage next to a rocket to the moon. they were good, kind of weird though. theeeeen we saw a rocket to the moon. they were adorable. nick santino had purple underwear and bare feet. then we saw chiodos. from afar. because it was the fucking scariest thing i have seen in my life. the music was epic, but the crowd was so violent!!! people were like staggering out of circle pits and it looked like they were going to die of internal bleeding or something. and it was so dusty that you could barely see the band lol. then we saw the maine. it was so much fun. johnohh is so cute. and i actually knew the words to their songs, so it was extra good. then, sing it loud played acoustic at their tent. they only played two songs, no one can touch us and come around, but it was the best thing of my entire life. soooo cute. i have a video of no one can touch us, but there is a really MASSIVE arm in the way half the time. then we met pat, nate, and ben and took pictures with them. and omg nate is soo hot. he wasnt wearing a shirt and i touched his back and it was so nice and smooth. and pat is like william beckett but blonde. and kieran is like william beckett but short. then we had to leave :( we took the amtrak to new haven and then the metronorth back home to larchmont. julia bought a bracelet from sing it loud that said mpls fo' life and the whole metro north train ride we were trying to think of what it meant and we made up ridiculous acronyms. and then i looked it up when i got home. and it stands for minneapolis. here are some of our highlights: miget policemen levitate speedily, menstruating poledancers leave stains, and other classy things like that.
all in all, this was a fucking awesome day.
edit: omfg this is the longest paragraph in the world. i am so sorry.
edit #2: i've used up 52% of my uploads for this month. and it is not halfway through july... and i did not take a picture today. well, i did take pictures but not on my camera. so i can't upload one. i guess i'll just skip today then. i did put up seven from yesterday.... but a lot of my july photos are not going to make it up til august. flickr also told me today that i need to delete some of my pictures cause i'm getting a bit too close to 200.. WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE BUY ME A PRO ACCOUNT? i will love you forever <3
this is all a dream, none of you are real, i'd give anything, i'd give anything
i hate so much on this photostream -_- but I cant bring myself to delete it. Yeah, maybe I've been a bit distant from sims but its not my fault. ive been diagnosed as stressed because of the shitloads of pressure that has been bestowed upon me. ive just been getting distant from it. i think its because of whats going on, and how im not having as much time as before.
im coming back to america next year. yeah, it was a big choice but sometimes you learn that there isnt any way out of the shit, and you wont learn anything pretending to be someone you're not and listening to shit from other people. They're just there to bring you down and stop you from learning.
Unlike many, I want to do well in school and get good grades so that I can do something with my life, not going out and getting wasted at fourteen, copying homework over the shoulder of someone else five minutes before a class. Daily I see people take the world and what they are given for granted, and it sucks. Life isn't like that for me.
So ive been applying for schools, which has put so much work and pressure on top of the stuff I'm already doing at school.
And now the wait is menacing. Waiting as they look in my file and decide whether I'm worthy of getting something better than what they say is the best school in England but is truly the worst shithole a person can be pushed into. If i dont get accepted i still wont stay here, no matter how much i care about myself. I will force my parents to send me to the public school where my friends are until I can apply again. It's just like that. I never thought that it would come to this, but running away from something you cant ignore is something no one wants to do. Absolutely fucking no one.
Music has been my only vice. and taking pictures of myself (vain bitch hahaa). Which is why I wanted to put this one up - bags under my eyes and all. Im in my Nine Inch Nails motif shirt, one I got the day before yesterday in the mail from amazon (meh i think.,. mighta been ebay). This has been my second favorite, over my Mrs Trent Reznor shirt. His music has penetrated me in ways I've never heard a band before. Its the most amazing thing, listening to him pour his heart and feelings into a beautiful piece of art.
Enough of my fucking rant, haha. i'll do you a favor and shut up now.

Japanese version featuring a bonus track
Akron, Ohio's Black Keys offer crunchy, riff-heavy blues-rock that is remarkably rich and textured, particularly when one considers that they are merely a duo. Continuing in the vein of their 2002 debut, The Big Come Up, this sophomore CD leavens their garage blues with enough innovation to keep things interesting, taking full advantage of Dan Auerbach’s full-throated growl. Particularly appealing are "Hard Row," which lurks somewhere between Cream and punk rock, the strong stomp of "Everywhere I Go," and the irresistible guitar riff that graces "If You See Me." The Black Keys might be covering familiar territory, but they do it so well--and with so much invention--that one is inclined to yield it to them and see what they do with it. --Genevieve Williams
